After the Thousand-Year War, the evil beast brought chaos and destruction upon Midgard. Among its victims was the beloved father of Tristan Gaebolg I. Together with six other Norman warriors, Tristan defeated Jormungandr. Upon its death, Jormungandr placed a curse upon Tristan Gaebolg I in which every first prince of the Gaebolg family will die at a young age. Each victim of the curse will develop snake-like scales on his body.[1]
